THE BRIEF
Turning Complex Technology Into a Clear Global Story
Japanese technology company TIER IV needed a brand film that would capture attention at CES and communicate a complex proposition with clarity and impact.
While major technology companies were developing autonomous-driving systems within closed ecosystems, TIER IV was pursuing a different vision: open-source technology that companies around the world could access, develop and build upon.
Our challenge was to turn that technical and commercial proposition into a simple, powerful message for a global audience.

THE INSIGHT
Creating the Strategic Idea
TIER IV was not only offering autonomous-driving software. It was opening the technology to companies that could never compete with the scale and resources of the world’s largest technology firms.
By making its platform open source, TIER IV could help accelerate innovation, create new commercial opportunities and make autonomous mobility accessible to more people and organisations worldwide.
We distilled this proposition into one central idea:
Autonomous driving in your hands.
The line expressed both the openness of the technology and the opportunity it placed in the hands of developers, companies and communities around the world.

THE APPROACH
Humanising Technology
Hands became the central visual motif throughout the film.
They represent control, creativity, collaboration and the ability to build. Human bodies and gestures gave physical form to abstract ideas such as code, connection, access and possibility.
Rather than presenting autonomous driving as distant or impersonal, the treatment placed people at the centre of its future.

CREATING THE LOOK
From Strategy to Execution
The film combines choreographed movement, graphic compositions and autonomous-driving imagery to create a visual language that feels both technological and human.
The hand motif carries the message through each scene, transforming a complex software proposition into something immediate, memorable and emotionally accessible.
The result was a bold global brand film designed to distinguish TIER IV within the competitive CES environment and communicate its open-source mission with clarity.
