Giving Technology a Second Life
Operations Photography for Alchemy Telco Solutions
Tokyo, Japan + Melbourne, Australia
THE STORY
Inside the Circular Technology Economy
Every returned device enters a carefully managed process of assessment, handling, recovery and reuse.
Alchemy operates within the circular technology economy, recovering and processing electronic devices to extend their useful life and reduce unnecessary waste.
Our photography documented this process across Alchemy's facilities in Tokyo and Melbourne, capturing the people, technology and operational systems that make large-scale device recovery possible.

THE APPROACH
Making an Invisible Process Visible
Circularity is an idea that can easily feel abstract.
The photography needed to show what it looks like in practice.
We followed devices through Alchemy’s circular journey of Recover, Refresh and Remarket, documenting assessment, diagnostics, data management, processing, packaging and handling alongside the people responsible for making the system work.
The visual approach combined human moments with precise operational detail, creating an authentic picture of a technology business built around both people and process.

ONE BRIEF. TWO MARKETS.
A Consistent Visual Story Across Japan and Australia
Working across Alchemy's facilities in Tokyo and Melbourne, NOUS delivered a consistent photographic approach across two international markets.
The production created a flexible global image library spanning candid working moments, operational detail, environmental photography and selected portraits, with imagery designed for corporate communications, digital content, social media and editorial storytelling.

Technology, People and Process Working Together
From individual devices being inspected to technology moving through each facility at scale, the resulting image library gives Alchemy a clear visual language for communicating the people, processes and systems behind a more circular technology economy.
